Come to MAM to meet over 70 dynamic artists featured in this juried exhibition, including artists with regional careers and national reputations. Lewis Kelley: Distillation
With this series of photographs Lewis Kelley strives to distill away the clutter and create a locus for the eyes. By untangling the scene and leaving only a single streak of vivid color, the work depicts a dichotomy of light and color, of the subject's essence and appearance, and between the sum and its parts. Opening Reception on First Friday, January 2nd,5:30pm -7:30pm. Light refreshments provided.

Bernice’s Bakery will display art by Amie Thurber starting in January. The bakery, a Missoula institution since 1978, will host a First Friday reception with Thurber on January 2nd from 5-8 PM. Thurber says her paintings were partly inspired by the bakery and its loyal patrons. She completed a BFA at The University of Montana in 1999, and has led more than a dozen community public art projects over the years.
